Interreg IIIC - project part-financed by the European Union Forestry Commission Wales - Comisiwn Coedwigaeth Cymru

Forestry - a new future for Europe

Forestry has a key role to play in the future of rural Europe. Innovative use of our forests, timber and trees can help provide new jobs and new wealth.

Robinwood was an Interreg IIIC project which ran from October 2004 to June 2008, in which Forestry Commission Wales was a partner. The project brought together a wealth of new shared knowledge which can make a real difference to how our forests are managed for multiple benefits - especially forest management, woodfuel production and hydrogeology improvements.

Although the project has now finished, the Robinwood team believes that the information contained in this web-site can help make the aim of the project - the 'Revitalisation of rural areas through sustainable development using integrated forestry development' - a reality.
