Interreg IIIC - project part-financed by the European Union Forestry Commission Wales - Comisiwn Coedwigaeth Cymru

Why is it important?

The development of woodlands and forests across Europe has a vital role in supporting and maintaining rural communities - caring for the environment for our children and grandchildren, making the most of the business opportunities, developing wood as a sustainable energy resource and identifying how trees can help prevent natural disasters.
Recreation in the woods
Just as important to Robinwood is changing the political perception of the importance of forestry to rural life and breaking down barriers between countries by getting people across Europe to work together as a team.

New partnerships established across Europe during the Robinwood project are continuing to provide new opportunities for trade, information exchange and cross border co-operation between the many organisations and businesses involved.
